Morelia, the city of pink quarry

The Historic Center of Morelia, Michoacan recently celebrated its 26th anniversary of being declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This distinction is reserved only for cities with exceptional architectural style and a living history of beauty.

With more than 270 hectares, the Historic Center of Morelia makes up the most touristic area of the city. Its walls whisper in each corner stories from the sixteenth century. These walls are protected from any type of modification, preserving the original splendor of the building facades.

Pied à Terre encourages the preservation of the tangible heritage of humanity. At the beginning of 2018, we proudly unveiled a plaque that was specially designed to be placed on the pink quarry facade of the Hom Hotel at 44 Aquiles Serdán. Due to the refinement of its rooms and its personalized attention, the Hom Hotel is part of the exclusive properties that Pied à Terre offers to satisfy even the most exigent travelers.

Visitors who are attracted to history, architecture, gastronomy, art, and culture, should not miss the city of Morelia. Discover its 15 plazas and 1,113 monuments and enjoy the fusions of Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical styles.
